Board Rules
You agree to follow our forum's rules.

PREFACE: The subject matters discussed on this board are in many cases only
suitable for adults. For this reason, no-one under the age of 18 [(21) in
AL, MS, NE, WY, and any other location where eighteen (18) is not the age of
majority] may be a member of TEA. Persons misrepresenting
their ages will receive a permanent ban from our community.

RULE 1:
Be courteous and civil to other board members on here. Remember the Golden
Rule: do as you would be done by. We do not expect everyone to like each
other here, but we do expect that you will conduct yourself as an adult. If
you can¹t say anything nice about some other member of TEA,
you probably should just keep it to yourself or discuss it elsewhere. We
know that things like reviews and so on will eventually lead to disputes.
Please show maturity when it comes to handling issues of contention.

RULE 2:
No personal information shall be posted about any provider or member. You
will be banned permanently for this sort of offense. You might know the name
of a provider, but we don¹t need to know it. This is also true for members-
don¹t post phone numbers, addresses or real names of other members. Respect
the anonymity we are providing to others.

RULE 3:
TEA is not a dating service. Do not make appointments through
posts on the board- you are welcome to reply to ad threads but not to
suggest specific times/dates and availability for an appointment as a
customer. We suggest using email or phone to handle those details. Nobody
else needs to know them.

RULE 4:
Only one account per person. This means multiple accounts should not be
originating from the same IP address or computer, as a general rule. If you
are sharing your computer with someone and want to set up 2 accounts you
must email the administrator first with a notice of your doing that, and
expect some serious questioning about this. Anybody caught using 2 different
accounts is subject to being banned. Any excuse like "But I was letting
somebody use my laptop" will not be considered sufficient. This is
especially true for provider reviews: do not let anyone use your computer to
submit a review if you are a provider.

RULE 5:
No posts about drug usage as part of the hobby. This means no posts looking
for providers that are friendly to drugs of any kind, or any discussion of
personal drug usage on this forum, outside of a political context (if we
eventually have a politics forum or series of political threads). In other
words, ³I¹d like to find a 420-friendly provider² is not allowed, ³I
disagree with the federal position on medical marijuana² is fine. It isn¹t
our place to tell you what to do in your private life, but we aren¹t going
to have any talk like this for various reasons.

RULE 6:
No posting negative comments about other review sites or communities. If you
don¹t like what other sites are doing or have done, then start your own
site, weblog or forum and write about it there. The Internet is a big place,
and make one where you like the rules. This rule includes defunct boards as
well as live sites. We also encourage members to post links to other
like-minded communities, discussion boards and review sites; it is our
opinion that the Internet is enriched by having many communities, and our
value to you, our membership, is not threatened by mentioning and linking to
other sites.

RULE 7:
No posts of email correspondence. This means no posts of copies of emails
you have exchanged with other members of this site or any other board. We
are not encouraging gossip and breaches of privacy.

RULE 8:
Posts informing the community of no-show appointments should not be posted
until at least 48 hours have elapsed, and you have given the provider or
hobbyist an opportunity to respond privately.

RULE 9:
Contested reviews will be removed at the sole discretion of TEA
administrators if we have reason to believe the information
contained therein is defamatory, meant to misrepresent a provider¹s services
or appearance and ruin a public reputation, or otherwise violate board
rules. There is a fairly high standard to reach here, and in many cases we
will simply allow the provider and other board members respond and discuss
the contested issue.

GUIDELINES FOR THREAD DELETION/LOCKING/CENSORSHIP

The administrators at TEA generally believe in the principle
of having open discussion, subject to the rules listed above. We will
generally only intervene in forum threads in our capacity as moderators or
administrators when rule violations are occurring. Consistent violation of
rules by a member may be cause for moderation or outright banning, depending
on the nature of the offense or consistent pattern of behavior. In addition,
³trolling² (intentionally posting messages about sensitive topics
constructed to cause controversy in an online community such as an online
discussion forum, in order to bait users into responding) shall also be a
cause for possible moderation/thread deletion/locking or censorship.
Determining trolling is a subjective determination and one that we will try
to do infrequently- generally speaking, it will be if a person is being
disruptive and violating other board rules.
